Meet Karina
Karina offers a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your current concerns at your own pace. Your emotional safety is always her highest priority.
She has over five years' experience working in the mental health sector, specialising in anxiety, depression, body image, and supporting survivors of abuse, in particular survivors of sexual assault. Her approach integrates evidence-based counselling practices with somatic modalities to support the whole person.
From a young age, Karina developed a deep commitment to caring for her mind, body, and soul. Shaped by her own life experiences, she was guided toward a holistic healing journey. Today, Karina offers these services to others with compassion and deep understanding, knowing firsthand how powerful and transformative this work can be.

Karina offers individualised confidential counselling designed to support your unique emotional needs. She offers a mixture of traditional talk therapy with somatic practices or purely traditional talk therapy, honouring your needs. Each session is 50 minutes, with the flexibility of telehealth or in-person appointments.

Therapeutic Approach
Focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to manage challenges and create positive change.
Builds a more flexible relationship with thoughts and emotions. Rather than eliminating difficult feelings, ACT focuses on acceptance, mindfulness, and taking meaningful action guided by personal values.
Views people as separate from their problems. Helps explore and reshape the stories you tell about your life, highlighting strengths, values, and alternative perspectives that support growth and empowerment.
Views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles. Focuses on understanding and unburdening these parts while strengthening the core Self to support healing and balance.
Supports mental clarity, emotional balance, and self-awareness. Through guided or self-led practices, meditation helps calm the mind, reduce stress, and develop a more mindful relationship with thoughts and feelings.
Uses guided breathing techniques to support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall wellbeing. Helps calm the nervous system, increase body awareness, and build tools for grounding and resilience.

There is a parking lot directly behind the building. Enter via Scotia Street or Orford Street, then walk to the entrance on Maribyrnong Road. The door will be locked. Karina will open the door 5 minutes before your appointment time. If you arrive earlier, please wait in the comfort of your vehicle.
